Who Will Win Champions League 2019 Odds
Not many things have stopped Manchester City in recent years – but that elusive first Champions League crown is certainly one of them.
The quarter-final draw for this year’s competition was made in Nyon on Friday, with Pep Guardiola’s men set to face either Lyon or Juventus if they get past Real Madrid at the Etihad in August.
In this post, I will look at the latest Champions League odds provided by the top soccer betting sites and assess the teams’ chances, trying to find the best value. UEFA Champions League Outright Winner Odds Barcelona 2.50 Liverpool 3.75. Manchester City are 10/3 favourites to win the Champions League with bet365 as they look to add European glory to their recent domestic success. Pep Guardiola’s side have won the Premier League in.
As a result of the latest draw, only ONE from Bayern, Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Man City can make the final.
City head into the second leg in buoyant mood having recorded a historic 2-1 victory at the Bernabeu when the two sides met in February.
And bookmakers BetFair certainly sense the omens are swinging in City’s favour – tipping the English side to lift Europe’s most prestigious trophy this season.
Guardiola’s side are now 16/5 to win their first-ever Champions League trophy, having previously been joint favourites with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, who are now 7/2.
But following Friday’s draw those odds have now been cut, leaving City at the top of the 12-team pile.
Oasis legend and die-hard Man City fan, Noel Gallagher, also has a good feeling about his beloved side’s chances.
“I was at the Bernabeu and we were great that night,” he told talkSPORT.
“Coming out of the Bernabeu and seeing the other results, I thought, ‘You know what? I fancy it this year’.
“One of the good things about the break in the season is that if the Champions League comes back, we’ll have a full squad again. We were missing [Aymeric] Laporte, [Leroy] Sane and a few others.
“So hopefully, if it comes back, that will work in our favour.”
Guardiola, a two-time Champions League winner whilst in charge of Barcelona, will certainly be hoping that is the case following a difficult Premier League campaign which has seen Liverpool run away with the title.
